Hyundai Tucson

Automobiles

The Hyundai Tucson is a compact crossover SUV built by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai and named after the city of Tucson, Arizona. The first generation was launched in 2004, after the name was announced in November 2003, as a smaller alternative to the Santa Fe on a platform based on the Elantra and shared with the second-generation Kia Sportage. The second-generation car was sold as the Hyundai ix35 in several markets, including Europe, Australia and China, before the Tucson name returned for the third generation. It is Hyundai best-selling model, with more than 7 million units sold worldwide since 2004, of which 1.4 million were sold in Europe.
