Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Automobiles

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe from Hyundai Motor Company, first released on 13 October 2008 in Korea and sold in the United States from February 2009 as a 2010 model. It was Hyundai's first rear-wheel-drive sports coupe and shared its basic platform with the Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan. It was offered with a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder Theta engine or a 3.8 litre Lambda V6, with trims including R-Spec and Track, and a facelift for the 2013 model year added a twin-scroll turbo and gasoline direct injection. When Genesis became a standalone luxury brand the coupe stayed a Hyundai, and it was discontinued in 2016. Tuners including Rhys Millen Racing built V8 versions of the car.
