The Hyundai Exter is an A-segment crossover city car that Hyundai has manufactured since 2023. It was first unveiled in India in the second quarter of 2023 and is the smallest crossover in the Hyundai line-up there, an alternative to the Casper elsewhere. It is based on the Grand i10 hatchback and the Aura sedan, sharing their platform, engine options and dashboard design, and its styling features H-shaped LED daytime running lights and square headlights. The Exter went on sale in India on 10 July 2023 in five trim levels with a CNG powertrain on the S and SX trims, drawing over 11,000 bookings before launch, and reached South Africa on 17 September 2024. It was named Indian Car of the Year for 2024, and a facelift was launched on 20 March 2026.
