Hyundai Aero City

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Hyundai Aero City, sold as the Hyundai New Super Aero City in its later forms, is a heavy-duty single-decker bus made by the truck and bus division of Hyundai and introduced in 1991. It is used as a city bus and an intercity bus, either as a complete bus or as a bus chassis, and its principal competitor was the Daewoo BS106 Royal City. The first generation was built on a Mitsubishi Fuso Aero Star chassis until 1994 and then on a Hyundai chassis, and it was followed by the Super Aero City in 2000 and the New Super Aero City in 2005, offered in diesel or CNG and later in low-floor versions. Variants include the UniCity, the Green City, the Blue City CNG-electric hybrid and the Elec City electric bus. The high-floor buses were withdrawn in January 2024 after low-floor buses became mandatory in 2023.
