The first Wave models debuted in 1995 with an underbone design, with cosmetic plastic body panels separate from a structural chassis of steel tube, and had carburetors. The engine of the 100 and 110 cc models is similar in size to the Cub engine and shares its mountings, while the 125 cc models have a larger engine that does not fit the Cub or the 100 and 110 mountings. In 2006 the Wave received a facelift, and the 125 cc model gained a key slot cover for better protection against theft. Each model year has its own page.
