The second span of the Shadow began in 1988 with the VT800C, an 800 cc model made only for North America for one year, and the VLX VT600C, Honda's new entry level Shadow that stayed above the Honda Rebel. The 1,100 cc VT1100C had been introduced in 1985 and took on a new look for 1987 with a lower seat and longer wheelbase, and in 1995 the American Classic Edition VT1100C2 added retro styling. The VT750C was replaced by the VT800C in 1988. Each model year has its own page.
