The Honda CB400F had a single generation, produced in three variants, the F, F1 and F2, for the 1975 to 1977 model years in the United States and Canada and to 1978 in the United Kingdom. It was an upgraded version of the CB350F of the previous year, with a larger bore and a modified cylinder head, and for the first time on a Honda a sixth gearbox ratio. In America it fell short of the sales Honda had hoped for, up against the Kawasaki twin cylinder model that dominated. Each model year has its own page.
