The third generation ATC250R of 1985 to 1987 was updated in 1985 with a 246 cc liquid-cooled engine and a 6-speed transmission, notable for not incorporating a power valve. Fuel was delivered by a 34 mm round carburetor in 1985 and a flat slide carburetor afterward, and suspension travel reached 9.8 inches. It was discontinued in the United States in 1986 after an agreement with the Consumer Product Safety Commission to end production of three-wheeled ATVs. Each model year has its own page.
