The Harley-Davidson Electra Glide is an American touring motorcycle introduced in 1965, notable as the first Harley-Davidson model fitted with an electric starter, which its name reflects. Built for long distance highway riding with a large fairing and touring accessories, it established the template for the full dress touring motorcycle that Harley-Davidson has continued to build ever since.
