The Grumman G-44 Widgeon was a small twin engine amphibious aircraft seating about five people, built by Grumman from the late 1930s. The United States Navy and Coast Guard flew it under the designation J4F, while the Army Air Forces flew it as the OA-14, using it for coastal patrol, air sea rescue and utility transport during the Second World War. Its compact size and amphibious hull made it useful wherever a larger flying boat was not needed.
