The Genesis G80 is an executive sedan built by Genesis, the luxury marque owned by Hyundai Motor Company. The first generation began as the second-generation Hyundai Genesis and was rebranded as the G80 in 2016 when Genesis became a separate luxury division; it was shown at the 2016 North American International Auto Show and went on sale in South Korea in July 2016. A second generation, internally RG3, was revealed on 30 March 2020 on the M3 rear- or all-wheel-drive platform with 2.5 and 3.5 litre gasoline turbo engines and a 2.2 litre diesel, and it was facelifted for the 2024 model year. The Electrified G80, a dual-motor battery electric version, debuted in April 2021 and was withdrawn from the United States in August 2025. The G80 is built in Ulsan, and worldwide sales between 2015 and 2018 reached 127,283.
