The Fokker D.VII is a German biplane fighter introduced in 1918 during the final months of the First World War. It is regarded as one of the most effective fighters of the war, forgiving to fly and dangerous in combat, and it is the only aircraft specifically named in the Treaty of Versailles as a weapon Germany was required to surrender to the Allies.
