Fiat 672

The Fiat 672 RN is an urban bus produced by the Italian maker Fiat Bus from 1948. Launched in 1948, it kept the main characteristics of the urban buses of the time. It was designed on the basis of a truck chassis, the Fiat 680, reworked and lowered to guarantee suitable access for passengers. This model was the last in the huge Fiat Bus range with a so-called lowered floor, from the period when passengers were still used to climbing steps, very directly derived from a truck chassis. It was created for versatile use in the large cities of Italy for mass transport, and complements the Fiat 666RN, of which it can be considered the long version. As the transport code then in force in Italy prescribed for 12 metre vehicles, this city bus had three axles, and it had a certain commercial success. The Fiat 405 followed it.
