Fiat 2411

The Fiat 2411 Cansa is a model of trolleybus built in Italy from the mid 1950s, succeeding the Fiat 2401 Cansa and, in the early 1960s, giving way to the production of the Fiat 2411/1 Cansa. It is an 11 metre trolleybus with right-hand drive and two folding doors. It was produced by Fiat Veicoli Industriali in the classic two-green livery, with a body by Cansa of Cameri and equipped with CGE or TIBB electrical equipment. In later years the body took on a great variety of colours depending on the owning company. The Fiat Cansa 2411 was one of the most successful models built in Italy and was present in the trolleybus fleets of many Italian cities, including Bologna, Modena, Turin, Mestre, Livorno, Verona, San Remo, Padua and Pisa. Twenty-one examples were fitted out in 1959 and 1960 for the Turkish city of Izmir. Restored examples survive in San Remo, Livorno and Modena.
