The Eurostar Class 373 is a high speed electric passenger trainset that entered service in 1994, built as a variant of the French TGV design specifically adapted to run through the Channel Tunnel connecting Britain to continental Europe. It was the rolling stock that opened direct high speed passenger rail service between London, Paris and Brussels, and examples remained in service for decades on the route.
