The de Havilland DH.92 Dolphin was a 1930s British prototype light biplane airliner designed and built by the de Havilland aircraft company. It was designed as a modernised version of the Dragon Rapide, with ideas from the DH.86A and the Dragonfly, a DH.86A-style nose seating two crew side by side, and wings of increased and unequal span. It first appeared with a trousered undercarriage but was fitted with a retractable landing gear, rather like that of the DH.88 Comet, before flying, and onboard air-stairs were one of its passenger access novelties. It was powered by two 204 hp de Havilland Gipsy Six piston engines, with fuel tanks in the wings to avoid the fire hazard of the Rapide nacelle tanks. The single prototype first flew on 9 September 1936, but it proved too heavy structurally, no others were built, and it was scrapped in December 1936.
