The Dallara GP3/13 was the second generation car of the GP3 Series, the feeder series for GP2, built by the Italian manufacturer Dallara, which also designs the chassis for the parent series. It made its debut at the start of the 2013 season in Barcelona and was in use for three seasons before the Dallara GP3/16 replaced it. The 280 bhp turbocharged inline four engine of the GP3/10 was replaced by a 400 bhp, 3.4 litre naturally aspirated V6, and early estimates said the chassis would be up to three seconds a lap faster than its predecessor, which proved accurate in pre-season testing at the Autódromo do Estoril. The later GP3/16 article names the engine of the GP3/13 as the P57 developed by Advanced Engine Research.
