The Dallara GP2/11 was an open-wheel racing car built by the Italian manufacturer Dallara for the GP2 Series, the feeder series for Formula One. It was the third generation car of the series and the first used by the FIA Formula 2 Championship, introduced at the Yas Marina round of the 2011 season to replace the GP2/08. It was meant to last until 2013 but stayed for a further three year cycle to cut costs, and it raced through the revived 2017 Formula 2 season. Its aerodynamics followed the 2009 Formula One baseline, with a narrower and higher rear wing and a wider front wing, and it kept the 4.0 litre naturally aspirated V8 from Mecachrome with a merged exhaust. Pirelli supplied the tyres. Critics found overtaking hard, and only one rookie, Charles Leclerc in 2017, won the title in its years. The Dallara F2 2018 replaced it, though it still races in the BOSS GP and MAXX Formula championships.
