Dallara F308

The Dallara F308 is an open-wheel Formula Three racing car built in 2008 by the Italian manufacturer Dallara. It was used in different Formula Three categories and competitions between 2008 and 2011 and was succeeded by the F312 in 2012. Through Dallara's annual add-on kits it could be upgraded to the F309, F310 or F311, which brought changes to the aerodynamics, such as additional air deflectors, and improved suspension units. The F308 is a conventional Formula 3 car with a carbon fibre reinforced plastic monocoque, a load bearing mid engine and free-standing wheels. The Hewland FTR and Pankl DGB03 gearboxes are homologated for it and are shifted manually by ignition interruption and a lever on the right side, without the clutch. Teams could do the bodywork themselves, and in the Euroseries, for example, the chimneys on the sidepods were removed and the sidepods laminated shut.
