The Dallara AV-24, also known as the IAC AV-24, is the next-generation autonomous racing car platform of the Indy Autonomous Challenge, the series in which university teams race identical self-driving cars. It was unveiled at CES 2024, where PoliMOVE, TII Unimore Racing and AI Racing Tech demonstrated autonomous laps with it at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on 11 January 2024, and by 2024 the series was using it as its specification. The AV-24 keeps the same base Dallara AV chassis as the earlier AV-21 but has entirely re-engineered compute hardware, sensors and software. The new equipment includes six Allied Vision Mako G-319C cameras, a Luminar Iris long-range lidar, a Continental ARS 548 radar, a custom drive-by-wire system with independent front and rear brake actuation, Marelli race control and data interface, and an improved GPS interface. An updated simulation tool let teams train their driving software without buying a physical car.
