Costa Fortuna

Passenger and Ocean Liner Vessels

Costa Fortuna is a cruise ship of the Italian line Costa Crociere, built by Fincantieri in Italy and completed on 31 October 2003. She was entered into service on 17 November 2003 and is registered in Genoa. The ship was built on the same platform as the Destiny class of Carnival Cruise Lines, with tiered aft decks and limited open deck space, while her Art Deco interiors were inspired by the Italian steamships of the past. She measures 102,669 gross tons and 272.19 metres overall, with a beam of 35.54 metres, and is driven by a diesel-electric system of 34,000 kilowatts serving two azimuth thrusters. She carries up to 3,470 passengers at maximum capacity and a crew of 1,090. After a 2018 refit in Singapore she returned to Mediterranean service, and in 2025 she was reported sold to Margaritaville at Sea, to leave the Costa fleet in September 2026.
