The Convair R3Y Tradewind is an American four turboprop flying boat built by Convair for the United States Navy in the 1950s. It was designed as a long range transport able to carry troops and cargo across the Pacific, and some airframes were later modified to refuel jet aircraft in flight. It was among the last large flying boats built for military service before land based aircraft took over the role.
