Cessna CitationJet/M2

General Aviation and Light Aircraft

The Cessna CitationJet, also sold as the CJ and the M2 and known as the Model 525, is a series of light business jets in the Citation family. The Model 525 was launched in October 1989, first flew on 29 April 1991, received FAA certification on 16 October 1992 and was first delivered on 30 March 1993. The series uses two Williams FJ44 engines, the forward fuselage of the Citation II and a new carry-through wing with a T-tail. The original CitationJet became the CJ1, CJ1+ and M2; a stretch produced the CJ2 and CJ2+, built from 2000 to 2016, two further stretches yielded the CJ3 and CJ3+ and finally the CJ4, which has a moderately swept wing and has been built since 2010. By June 2017, 2,000 aircraft of all variants had been delivered.
