Cessna Citation V

General Aviation and Light Aircraft

The Cessna Citation V, company designation Model 560, is a business jet in the Citation family and a stretched development of the Citation S/II. The first prototype flew in August 1987 and the type was certified on 9 December 1988. Cessna announced the upgraded Citation Ultra in September 1993 and the Citation Encore, upgraded with PW535 turbofans, in 1998, which was later improved as the Encore Plus. The Ultra is powered by two Pratt and Whitney Canada JT15D-5D turbofans of 3,045 pounds of thrust each. Between 1989 and 2011, 774 aircraft of all variants were produced. The United States military flies the type as the UC-35 executive transport and as the OT-47B reconnaissance aircraft.
