Cessna 421 Golden Eagle

General Aviation and Light Aircraft

The Cessna 421 Golden Eagle is an American six or seven seat twin-engined light transport aircraft that Cessna developed in the 1960s as a pressurized version of the earlier Cessna 411. It was first produced in May 1967 for the 1968 model year, carried Stabila-Tip fuel tanks on the wingtips like the Cessna 310, and was an immediate hit, selling 200 aircraft in its first year. The design was refined as the 421A in 1969 and the 421B in 1971, with a longer wing and nose, and the 421C of 1976 introduced wet wings without wingtip tanks. Production ended in 1985 after 1,901 aircraft had been delivered. The type shares a type certificate with the 401, 402, 411, 414 and 425, and the Cessna 425 is a turboprop development of the 421.
