The Caproni Ca.3 is an Italian heavy bomber built by Caproni, the most produced version of a series that began with the 1914 Caproni Ca.1, with its prototype flying in late 1916. It equipped fifteen Italian bomber squadrons that struck Austro-Hungarian positions during the First World War, some later operating in France in 1918, and it also saw service with French and American forces before postwar variants continued in limited use into the early years of Mussolini's Italy.
