The BYD M3, also marketed as the BYD ETP3 in Europe and as the BYD T3, is a 5-door van designed and produced by the Chinese automaker BYD Auto since 2014. The M3 DM mini MPV was previewed by the M3 DM Concept at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, with DM meaning the dual-mode hybrid drivetrain, which combines a 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine of 109 horsepower with an electric motor of 150 horsepower for 259 horsepower in all and about 60 kilometres of electric range. The plain M3 has the same design with traditional grilles. The BYD T3 is the pure-electric mini van launched at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show as the electric version of the M3 light commercial vehicle. It was never put on the open market, but Chinese government bodies such as post offices bought fleets, DHL used it in Shenzhen, and it was exported to Norway, Australia and Thailand.
