BYD B series

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The BYD B series is a line of battery electric buses produced by the Chinese vehicle manufacturer BYD, and the first bus model powered by BYD's Lithium Iron Phosphate Blade batteries. It comes as a 10-metre single-decker (B10), an 11-metre double-decker (BD11), a 12-metre single-decker (B12), a 12-metre tri-axle double-decker (B12D), a 15-metre tri-axle single-decker (B15) and an 18-metre articulated bus (B18). BYD launched it on 29 July 2020 to supersede the popular K series, with bodywork designed by Wolfgang Egger, LED lamps, USB charging ports, more efficient wheel hub motors and a lightweight aluminium frame. It has been bought by operators in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Finland, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Chile and Australia, and the B10 won a 2021 new energy bus award.
