BYD 8TT

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The BYD 8TT is an all-electric Class 8 heavy-duty semi-truck built by BYD Auto and sold in the United States, China and other markets. Its battery stores more than 400 kWh, which the manufacturer says gives a range of about 200 km at full load and 270 km at half load, and the current second-generation truck has a gross combined weight rating of 48 tonnes. Fleet buyers in California include Anheuser-Busch, which announced a deployment of 21 trucks, along with GSC Logistics and Golden State Express. BYD says it had delivered its hundredth electric truck in the United States by early 2020. The 8TT sits within a wider BYD electric truck range that includes the T10 and T8 chassis trucks.
