The Bristol Railbus was a railbus built on a chassis from Bristol Commercial Vehicles with bodywork by Eastern Coach Works. The Bristol CV Buses website records that it was produced in 1958 and that two were built, both delivered to British Railways in its Scottish Region. The English Wikipedia article on Bristol Commercial Vehicles adds that each used a Gardner engine of 112 horsepower with a hydraulic automatic transmission, that the pair worked on branch lines in Scotland, and that no further orders were placed, so the two were withdrawn and scrapped in 1966.
