Bristol H

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Bristol H was a single deck bus chassis, one of the three models that Grace's Guide says arrived in 1931 together with the G double decker and the J single decker. The Bristol CV Buses website records the Bristol LW four cylinder 6.01 litre petrol engine, bodies by Bristol, Brush and Eastern Counties, and 106 chassis built, five of which were later converted to J type chassis. Deliveries went mainly to the Tilling group fleets: Western National took 63, United Automobile 35 and Bristol Tramways 3. The two sources disagree on dates, since the website describes production in 1933 and 1934, so only the 1931 introduction is recorded here.
