The Bristol 2 Ton was a light chassis introduced in 1923, when Grace's Guide says the Bristol range widened with a new two-ton model that many operators bought. It was built by the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Company with a Bristol four cylinder petrol engine and carried small bus and coach bodies by Bristol and Roe as well as commercial bodies including vans, lorries, tankers and tower wagons. The Bristol CV Buses website records production between 1923 and 1932 and counts 263 built, while Grace's Guide counts 267, so the two sources differ by four. Buyers included Anglo American, British Petroleum and the Corris Railway, and Bristol Tramways itself took 112.
