The BMW R1200GS is a large displacement adventure touring motorcycle produced by BMW Motorrad from 2004, powered by BMW's air and oil cooled boxer twin engine and built to handle both extended highway touring and genuine off road use. It became the best selling motorcycle in its class in many markets and helped popularize the modern adventure bike category worldwide.
