BMW R 1200 RT K52

The BMW R 1200 RT with factory code K52 is the sixth generation of BMW's RT touring motorcycle line, presented at the EICMA show in Milan on 10 November 2013, sold from February 2014 and replaced in October 2018 by the almost identical R 1250 RT. It was developed from scratch under project manager Raimund Brandl, taking its cockpit, lighting and windscreen mechanism from the K 1600 GT and its air and water cooled boxer twin from the R 1200 GS K50, with a heavier crankshaft for smoother running. The 1,170 cubic centimetre engine makes 92 kilowatts, the bike reaches 100 kilometres per hour in 3.8 seconds and 225 kilometres per hour at the top, and it was assembled in the BMW plant in Berlin Spandau.
