Bangladesh Railway Class 6400, also called BED-26, is a class of broad-gauge diesel-electric locomotives owned by Bangladesh Railway and built by Banaras Locomotive Works in India. Thirteen were made, numbered 6401 to 6413: ten in 2001 as the WDM-2B and three in 2004 as the WDM-2CA. The class name encodes broad gauge, diesel-electric, built by the Diesel Locomotive Works, and an engine of 26 times 100 horsepower. They first worked high-profile passenger trains such as the Padma Express, Silk City Express and Maitree Express, wearing blue-yellow and white-red liveries, but now carry the traditional green-yellow livery and mostly haul freight and some intercity trains such as the Kapotaksha Express, since the Class 6500 and Class 6600 locomotives took over the leading passenger work. All thirteen are reported active.
