The Avro 504 is a British single engine biplane introduced in 1913 and built under license by numerous manufacturers around the world, becoming the most produced aircraft of any kind to serve in a military capacity during the First World War with more than eleven thousand built. Used during the war as a trainer, fighter and bomber, it became the standard trainer of the Royal Air Force afterward and remained in service with several air forces into the 1940s.
