Ashok Leyland Viking

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Ashok Leyland Viking is a front-engined bus chassis built by the Indian manufacturer Ashok Leyland, introduced in 1976 and based on the British Albion Viking design. It was the first bus in India fitted with an alternator, and its larger front overhang allowed the entrance door to be placed ahead of the front axle, features that helped it attract both private and government bus operators across the country.
