The ALCO Century 415, or C415, was a diesel-electric locomotive with a B-B wheel arrangement, produced by the American Locomotive Company as part of its Century Series. It was a large switcher or small road switcher with a raised cab mounted slightly off-center between a longer hood holding a 1,500 horsepower eight-cylinder turbocharged ALCO 251-F engine and a shorter hood holding auxiliaries. It could be ordered with a low, regular or extra-height cab and with standard Type B or Hi-Ad trucks. The locomotive was not very popular: 26 were built between 1966 and 1968 for seven owners, among them Rock Island, Southern Pacific, Hamersley Iron and Monongahela Connecting. Several are preserved, including Hamersley Iron 1000 and Monongahela Connecting 701.
