Albion Valiant

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Albion Valiant was a bus and coach chassis built by Albion Motors in Glasgow from 1931 to 1936, sold mainly to the coach market. It belonged to the family of passenger models that Albion named with a V, alongside the Victor, Viking, Valkyrie and Venturer, and it was built when Albion had long given up cars and concentrated on commercial vehicles. A Valiant CX with the engine and gearbox as one unit was sold from 1948 to 1951, again mostly to coach operators, and a rear-engined Valiant VL, similar to the Viking and fitted with a tropical cooling unit, was built from 1967 to 1972.
