The Airbus A380 is a wide body, full length double deck jet airliner that entered service in 2007 as the largest passenger airliner ever built. Designed to carry very large passenger loads on high demand long haul routes, its production ended in 2021 after airline demand shifted toward smaller, more flexible twin engine widebody jets.
