The Airbus A350 is a wide body, twin engine jet airliner that entered service in 2015, built with an airframe substantially of carbon fiber reinforced polymer. Airbus developed it to compete directly with the Boeing 777 and 787 on long haul routes, offering improved fuel efficiency over Airbus's earlier widebody designs.
