For 2004 Honda removed the ACE and Spirit from the 750cc Shadow line, and made only the new VT750C Shadow Aero. The reengineered RC50E engine was still a 52-degree liquid-cooled V-twin, modified to increase the compression ratio and tuned for torque at low and mid rpm, with a single CV carburetor in place of the dual carburetors of the RC44E, a catalytic converter and shaft final drive. A new steel tube frame put the seat lower than in either of the models it replaced.
