The second generation Honda Odyssey was introduced in 1981. Mechanically the same as the first generation, it changed to Honda Red and added a full cage roll bar, with better padding on the shoulder harness, a rectangular 60 watt headlight high on the roll bar, a more water resistant torque converter, a bigger fuel filter, capacitor discharge ignition, an air intake on the roll bar and redesigned steering geometry. Dry weight rose to 430 lb.
