Oley was a passenger car brand of the FAW Group, created for younger buyers who wanted simple small cars at low prices. It grew out of a subcompact first developed as the Besturn B30 for FAW's Bestune line, then renamed and shown as an Oley model, built on the PQ32+ platform that FAW derived from the Volkswagen Jetta platform of its FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. The brand was revealed in November 2011, the first Oley sedan went into production in March 2012, a hatchback followed in December 2013 and an electric hatchback was launched in 2015. FAW now lists Oley among its discontinued brands and records it as defunct in 2015.
