Renault Access

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Renault Access, renamed Renault D-Truck Access from 2014, is a low-entry distribution truck designed specially as a refuse collection vehicle. Renault has offered it since 2010 as the successor of the Renault Puncher. The first generation, built from 2010 to 2013, was based on the Elite made by the English firm Dennis Eagle, with a changed front end and Renault DXI7 diesel engines of 199, 228 and 250 kW meeting the Euro 5 standard, paired with an Allison 3000 automatic gearbox. The chassis came as a 4x2 or 6x2, and the cab sat low with an entry only 435 mm above the ground, a flat floor, a height of two metres and electric sliding doors on both sides, seating three people. The second generation from 2014 took the cab of the Renault D-Truck, with a 7.7 litre six-cylinder common-rail diesel of 184 to 243 kW and the Optidrive automatic gearbox.
