The Willys Jeep Truck was a pickup and light truck line made by Willys-Overland Motors from 1947 to 1965, with styling and engineering drawn from the Willys Jeep Station Wagon and the CJ-2A. It began as a one-ton four-wheel-drive truck on a 118 inch wheelbase, sold as a pickup, platform stake truck, chassis cab or bare chassis, and a three-quarter-ton two-wheel-drive version followed by 1949. A V-shaped grille arrived in 1950, and in 1951 the Hurricane four-cylinder replaced the flathead, raising output from 63 to 72 horsepower. It had one Borg-Warner three-speed manual gearbox, a Dump-O-Matic hoist came in 1957, and over 200,000 were built.
