Renault MM

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Renault MM was a Renault truck with a payload of 5 tonnes, made from 1925 to 1930. It was produced from 1925 to 1928 under the type MM1 and bought in a few examples, at least three, by the French armed forces in 1925. Several bodies existed: flatbed, tarpaulin-covered truck, workshop truck and tipper. The MM1 has a monobloc four-cylinder engine of 100 by 160 mm with a brake power of 48 bhp at 1,600 rpm, a gearbox with four forward speeds and one reverse, a wheelbase of 4.20 m, disc brakes on all four wheels and twin tyres at the rear. The chassis weighs 3 tonnes; a tested example fitted with a producer-gas unit in September 1925 weighed about 5.313 tonnes empty and 10.453 tonnes loaded.
