The Renault AHR was a medium-tonnage truck made by the French maker Renault at Boulogne-Billancourt, in the middle of the war under German-occupied France, from 1941 to 1944. It was the heaviest model of the AH series and replaced the Renault AGR, with a payload of 5 tonnes. The prototype was shown in December 1939 and stayed a single prototype because it was not selected for the series, and series production of the definitive model only began in 1941 because of the German advance and occupation. The series model was 5.60 m long, 2.03 m wide and 2.41 m high, offered only as a flatbed cab with drop sides, hoops and tarpaulin, with a six-cylinder Renault petrol engine of 4,086 cubic centimetres giving 75 hp at 2,800 rpm, a four-speed gearbox and a top speed of 60 km/h loaded. It abandoned the bonnet cab for a semi-forward cab with a flat sloping face. Most of the very modest production went to the German army, and the AHR did not resume after the liberation.
