The Renault ADR was a truck model produced by Renault in the 1930s. It was the last Renault truck of the 3.5 tonne payload class not to have a forward cab, and it was offered in a short and a long chassis. Like the light truck ADH and the coach ADJ, it has a four-cylinder in-line petrol engine, the type 383 of 100 by 129 mm giving 65 hp at 2,200 rpm, or a four-cylinder in-line diesel of 96 by 150 mm giving 45 hp at 1,800 rpm, with a four-speed manual gearbox. Taking over from the Renault YFAB and YFAC, it was produced in several types: the petrol ADR1 from 1936 to 1938, the petrol ADR DA1 in 1936, the diesel ADR D1 from 1936 to 1937, the diesel ADR H1 in 1937 and the producer-gas ADR DAH in 1941. The French armed forces bought it as a transport truck for the Garde republicaine mobile and as a canvas-topped truck for the Army, and the AGR, produced from 1937, replaced it.
