Mazda B360

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Mazda B360, introduced in February 1961, was a kei pickup (KBBA33) and light van (KBBAV) version of the R360 kei passenger car, with a 356 cc OHV V-twin making 13 PS and a weight of 535 kg. The export-only Mazda B600 of the same year was similar but had an enlarged 577 cc air-cooled V-twin making 20 PS. In September 1963 the B360 gained the 358 cc four-cylinder DB engine of the Carol with 20 PS, a facelift with a larger grille like that of the B1500 truck, and a DeLuxe Van version, and its top speed rose from 67 to 79 km/h. Another facelift followed in October 1966. The B600, nicknamed Soap Box in Indonesia, became a common sight there, and the range was licence built in Burma from 1972 and kept in production there until the mid-1990s.
